Vote 4 Beer

I know it’s a bit geeky for the beer medium, but be sure to get out and vote. We as homebrewers need to become a voting block, vote for your rights and your freedoms. There were times when homebrew was illegal, we need to become a united voice to make sure that that or prohibition never happens again.

Cheers!

Yup. Thinking about brewing this weekend. I gotta touch base with Co-brew honk Rick Ree.

    Thanks for hanging in there

    Cheers

Just as liberals have taken away our right to smoke on private (not public, private) property, ban trans fats, prevent us from using our own oil and natural gas, and on, and on, and on. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them attempt to tax home brewers or shut them down if they don’t pay the tax. (Don’t bother giving Carter credit for home brewing. He probably didn’t realize it was hidden in the bill.) They just can’t leave our personal freedoms alone. One by one they take them away. It is sad that so many people are so eager to hand over their freedom and they can’t see the writing on the wall.

Sadly the demonization of alcohol is a real problem in our country. It’s caused underage binge drinking, alcoholism and infringence of our basic rights. More to come on this as well!

Here in Iowa we are trying to get the 5% ABV law lifted. Currently breweries can not make beer above 5% yet 5%+ beer made out of state can be sold here. We have thousands of signatures on our “Lift the Limit” petition but, the Democrats that run our whole damn state keep blocking this from happening. They are doing this on the basis that underage drinkers won’t be able to handle the extra alc. It is all BS!

PS Google “Lift the Limit” to see what I am talking about.

    Freak,

I am all too aware of the backwards state laws. It’s crazy, we need to stop the parent state!

    Keep fighting.
