Jim, busy as all get out! I’ve got an MGB that has been sucking up what little free time I have had in the past months. I really enjoy working on it, but I need to draw a line in the sand at some point with it. I am going to be brewing an extract beer in the next week or so just because of a lack of time. How are things with you?

Jim – It’s epic! Super beer, it’s my one great IPA I’ve every brewed. I know that sounds like a bold statement, but seriously it’s one of the greats. I’ve been spoiling myself with black and tans made from that and my oatmeal stout.

Good question! In my experience there were a whole bunch of great bars, they just were not all that well advertised as beer spots. I would recommend getting a subscription to Draft Mag, they cover a lot of the NYC brew scene

Hey I was wondering where you get your IPA in NYC? Know any good bars for it? Its my favorite brew, but I’m having trouble bar hunting. Had some luck with a site called http://www.nookout.com though. They had a deal for The Abbey Pub on the Upper West Side and it had some excellent IPA (deal’s here if you wanna check it out: http://www.nookout.com/new-york/preview-deal.php?id=NzQx). Anywhere else you might know?
